BROWN CHICKPEAS SALAD

(SNACKS / BREAKFAST)

Chickpeas are plant based proteins loaded with nutrients and are a good sources of fiber &folate. It also contains variety of vitamins & minerals. High fiber & protein in chickpeas keep you feeling full & reduce calorie intake. It helps to maintain healthy bacteria in your gut and protects against chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes etc.

INGREDIENTS

1 CUP BROWN CHICKPEAS (soaked overnight)

1/4 CUP GREEN PEAS

2 TABLESPOON PEANUTS

1 MEDIUM SIZE ONION (CHOPPED )

1/2 TEASPOON TURMERIC POWDER

SALT, GREEN CHILIS (ACCORDING TO TASTE)

OIL FOR FRYING

INSTRUCTIONS

Boil the brown chickpeas in a pressure cooker until they become soft. Boil green peas in a pan for 2/3 min. Heat the pan. When the pan is ready add 1 teaspoon oil & fry the chopped onion until golden brown. Add peanuts, fry a little bit and then add brown & green peas. Fry for a few seconds, then add salt, green chilis and turmeric powder, mix well, let it cook for 2/3 minutes.

YOUR CHICKPEAS SALAD IS READY TO SERVE
